When Ed(Ahmed) Walwail made the life-changing move to Vancouver, Canada, he brought with him a powerhouse of experience. Back in Palestine, Ed had already built a formidable foundation:

  • Academic Roots: He earned his degree in Information Technology and Communications from the respected Al-Quds Open University in the West Bank.
  • Hands-on Versatility: He worked on the ground as an IT instructor, field technician, and handled various high-level tech contracts.
  • Business Grit: He actively managed and ran his family’s retail store business, mastering the daily realities of operations, customer experience, and entrepreneurship.

But Ed wanted to take his technical mastery to the next level. He made the leap to study Interaction Design at one of the top universities in North America, merging his deep IT background with advanced human-computer interaction principles.

Navigating the cultural shift, relocating halfway across the world, and adapting to a fast-paced North American academic environment is no small feat. Yet, Ed channeled that unique intersection of business grit, technical expertise, and design thinking directly into founding Labmations—his digital media, entertainment, and AI venture.

Today, those diverse skills are fueling his most ambitious projects to date:
